The automation of the Röders machines may precisely be adjusted to the requirements of the customer. With Röders’ in house developed software cost efficient solutions are available. The following functionalities may be realised: |
Job management for the automation of single machines. |
Cell management for the automation of cells with several machines. The integration of machines other manufactures is possible, for example measuring machines. Input of priorities, administration of the different jobs for the work pieces, depiction of the status of the cell and progress of work, optimisation of the work load for all machines etc. |
Chip identification and connection of the cell management to a data base or ERP system for automatic take over of the jobs for the different work pieces and automatic matching of the jobs to the different work pieces in the magazine. Interfaces to several data bases available. |
Central tool management for the optimisation of the use of the tools in all machines in a cell. The tools are administrated in a central data base and need to be defined only once. Each machine in a cell may use all tools available. |
Tool cache functionality - the local tool changer of the machines only holds the frequently used or for the current job needed tools. The other tools are centrally stored in the external magazine. |
Automatic work piece flow - Depending on the work progress the work pieces are stored in different areas of the magazine. The work pieces start in the raw material area and after all jobs on a work piece are finished it will arrive in the area for the finished work pieces. This allows an easy optical control of the work progress, by the area of storage for a work piece its status is already visible. If standardised raw blocks may be used an upfront identification of the chips is not necessary. The program for the first job automatically calls for the right type of raw block (raw block size) and when this raw block is loaded into a machine for the first time an identification of the chip for the specific work piece takes place automatically. |
Automatic hand over of work pieces to other cells by a transfer station, for example to an EDM cell. |
